A suggestion, a promise that doesn’t declare itself as one, rearranging what feels unbearable into something that can be endured. Closer. Closer than comfort should require. There is a tenderness to it, undeniably. A steadiness. There is a slight shift where uncertainty leans just enough toward acceptance to be dangerous. Nothing here is forceful. That is what makes it difficult to refuse. No sharp edges, no raised voice, no clear boundary to push against. Only closeness. Only the slow narrowing of all other options until this feels like all that’s left. Like a ritual performed not because it is believed in, but because it has always been done this way.
