obsidian whisper
The eye, they say, is the window to the soul.
But if I stare too long at my reflection, the pupil becomes a broken moon, made of obsidian.
The void crawls out from where the silence hums, claws made of broken prayers, an echo of dimmed candleflames.
Waiting for the inner storms to rise, it starts to sing in melodies my blood knows, a whisper sounding like me, smiling in quiet awe:
We share one soul, keep looking - not apart, a part.
When I finally blink, the darkness doesn’t vanish, it lingers, like breath on the mirror.
It’s not entering, it’s remembering.
