Summer on the Inside

Physical artwork included with this auction. Shipping is not included. For 30 days, I painted every single day. Like a river flowing beneath a bridge, I found myself moving toward something larger, my own personal sea. For 30 days, I faced whatever was necessary to sit down and paint flowers. Something that once felt like a farewell began to reveal itself as something much more alive. Something that transforms, shifts, and keeps becoming. This garden is not made of a single flower. You can trace the changes in my state of mind throughout the paintings: bursts of creativity, fear of change, moments of embracing chaos, and even the exhaustion that comes with letting go. This series became a diary. A visual diary about being alive and accepting that change is constant. Each painting is titled after one of the 30 songs I listened to the most during this period.
