SigmaX
An artist and architect from India, a resident of the 8NAP platform, working where minimalism meets neo-precisionism: light, form, and texture turning ordinary spaces into places you stop in front of. Everything starts with sketches, then line work, then 3D, an architect's order that lets the feeling arrive through precision, in a lineage he traces to Hopper, Sheeler, and O'Keeffe. What Cities Hold, Wildflowers, and the Museum of Art + Light collaboration with Iconic. Twenty-eight works here.

Artist statement in their own words, sent to the collector, September 2026
SigmaX is an artist and architect from India whose practice bridges the disciplines of architecture and visual art. Working at the threshold between minimalism and neo-precisionism, he explores how light, form, and texture transform space and perception, turning the ordinary into sites of contemplation and revelation.
Grounded in his architectural training, SigmaX approaches each work with structural clarity while embracing the emotional resonance of minimal and precise forms. His fascination with the interplay of color, shadow, and spatial relationships reflects formative experiences rooted in his cultural landscape, where he came to see architecture and art as interconnected languages addressing the shared human search for meaning and beauty.
Read the whole statement
Influenced by the haunting solitude of Edward Hopper, the industrial lyricism of Charles Sheeler, and Georgia O’Keeffe’s ability to locate the infinite within the intimate, SigmaX carries forward a lineage of artists who distilled experience into essential truths. These masters guide his pursuit of precision in service of deeper emotional impact.
Through this lens, SigmaX transforms the familiar into the profound, inviting viewers to recognize how every architectural space, every play of light and shadow, holds the potential for transcendence.
In his words
My architecture background gives me the freedom to work across different mediums from basic & most important part of my work, it all starts with sketches exploring composition and color theory, to line work in CAD or Illustrator/Photoshop, to 3D modelling. My work is an amalgamation of these mediums brought to life, each offering an opportunity to explore beyond aesthetics, into the technicalities, depth, and detailing beneath the surface.
The subject of my work mostly revolves around architecture, interior and exterior scenes. I look to daily life for examples and inspiration it is the art of slowing down and noticing.
