BoredJosei
An Indonesian artist (also known as 0xJosei) who started as a child drawing portraits in pencil, charcoal, and watercolor, raised on anime, manga, and comics, and found digital art and NFTs in 2021. Fragments, Garden of Shapes, a Seven Deadly Sins series, stills and animation in equal measure. The styles wander, from anime to minimalism to the playful and surreal, but nostalgia runs under all of it: childhood memories and everyday objects set into unexpected situations, kept clean and simple enough to leave room for the viewer. Thirteen works here, gathered at mint and through Transient Labs and Ninfa.

Artist statement in their own words, sent to the collector, September 2026
My name is Josei, an artist from Indonesia. My journey with art started when I was a child, inspired by anime, manga, comics, and the things I grew up with. I started by drawing portraits with pencils, charcoal, and watercolor before eventually discovering digital art and NFTs in 2021.
Since then, my art has continued to grow and change. I started exploring different styles, from anime and minimalism to more surreal, playful, bold, and experimental works. I enjoy trying new ideas and not limiting myself to one specific style.
Read the whole statement
Even though my works can look very different from each other, there is always something that connects them: nostalgia and surrealism. Many of my ideas come from childhood memories, familiar objects, places, characters, and simple moments from everyday life. I like taking those familiar things and putting them into unexpected or surreal situations.
I also love keeping my works clean and simple, while still leaving enough space for the viewer to find their own meaning. Sometimes the idea is simple, sometimes strange or playful, but there is usually a personal memory or feeling behind it.
My art is still an ongoing journey. I'm constantly learning, experimenting, and finding new ways to turn my memories, imagination, and feelings into something visual.
