There are some people we lose, but never really stop looking for. This piece is the other side of I Hope You’re Proud of Me. While the original holds onto the feeling of having someone there, this one is about the silence left behind when they’re gone. A daughter stands in the same place, holding the same flowers, but the shadow on the wall is no longer there. It is for the conversations we still have in our heads, the moments we wish we could share, and the people we wish could have stayed a little longer.
