Champagne Fountain
In the endless midnight of a digital cosmos,
a tower of crystal rises like a pyramid of light,
champagne cascades in a golden river from an unseen source,
pouring ceaselessly into the crown glass,
overflowing in luminous arcs that kiss each rim below,
bubbles ascending like silent fireworks frozen in ascent,
an infinite loop of celebration
where the old year dissolves
and the new year is born again and again
in the same glittering breath
