Nostalgia

Letters are one of the most nostalgic ways of celebrating holidays—one of the oldest ways people could tell each other, “I still remember you.” Waiting for days, even months, to receive news from a friend was a feeling both sweet and strange, a feeling we rarely experience today. I saw this letter, and this old sensation, as a way to revive memories, to remind ourselves of good feelings, and to pass them on to friends. The card says: «ع، ش، ق» the letters of the word «عشق» which means "Love" as a symbol of the last sentence "with love". -A physical watercolor painting on cotton paper.
