This collection comprises a selection of striking monochrome photographs capturing abandoned houses in the historical village of HileVar, situated near Kandovan in the East Azarbaijan Province of Iran. The houses were once inhabited by people who lived underground in the heart of the mountain, over a thousand years ago, before the establishment of Kandovan village and the Mongol invasion of the area. Today, these houses stand as nothing more than well-designed caves, evoking a sense of the region's rich history and the passage of time.
