It descended like a geometric proof — a precise diagonal slashing from violet cloud to the city below. The strike’s clarity made the rest of the storm seem out of focus, as if all its power had converged into this one measured blow. Photographed in 2025 from my building’s parking lot in Culiacán, Sinaloa. Due to ongoing regional conflict, I no longer have the freedom to roam the state as I once did, so every frame is captured from a fixed vantage point — waiting for storms to cross my line of sight.
