PARENTAL ADVISORY: WWVI
WWVI presents 200 AI-assisted works as album covers recovered from a parallel timeline. The format draws directly on late-1990s and early-2000s hip-hop album design: parental advisory marks, blocky type, the visual language of an era when album covers carried as much cultural weight as the music inside them. Each piece is a cover for a record that was never released, from a war that hasn't happened, in a world that resembles ours from a slight angle. The subject is the next conflict. The series imagines how the visual culture of modern Middle East warfare might be processed, packaged, and circulated through the same aesthetic apparatus that processed gangster rap, hardcore, and political hip-hop a generation earlier. War becomes pop. Pop becomes archaeology. Hebrew, Arabic, and English letterforms surface across the covers as fragmented signals, not as readable words but as residue from a code the timeline forgot.
