Liminal Light

Day 29 I chose light as the focus of this collection because it is the quiet storyteller behind every scene. Light has the power to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary—it changes color, mood, emotion, and meaning without ever altering the subject itself. By keeping the setting constant and allowing only the light to shift, I wanted to explore how dramatically our perception can change based on something as subtle—and essential—as illumination. Light is both universal and personal. We all experience it, but we interpret it differently. Morning light can feel hopeful, while evening light can feel nostalgic. Soft light brings comfort; harsh light reveals truth. Through these thirty pieces, I wanted to capture the full emotional vocabulary of light, from peaceful dawns to electric neon nights. This project is a way of reminding myself—and anyone who views the work—that even when life feels repetitive or still, a shift in perspective can change everything. Light teaches us that no moment is ever truly the same, and that beauty often lies in the way we choose to see the world
