Comments: At the top of a grassy hill we met an elder gentleman named Mr. Martin Rick. He was making wire relics by the entrance to a neolithic site. I bought one in the shape of an Ankh with tied together with clear crystal quartz. He told us we were at Loughcrew Cairns. It is an ancient site with burial chambers dating to circa 3300 BCE, with stone carvings & rock paintings. He walked us around the burial grounds surrounded by grazing sheeps sharing stories about the local folklore. In his past life he was on the run. Now he is home everywhere he goes. He is someone you would find at the Druid festival we were at a few days prior at Stonehenge. Around the Islands of the Archipelago of England, Ireland, and Scotland are scattered with hidden mysteries and strange stone formations. Perhaps they are all connected when you break down the barriers of countries boundaries. Martin said to us it was no coincidence we met. He tapped into a past life portal in this ancient burial ground of the duke. Martin thought we were knights of the roundtable on a mission for peace. World peace through art. In a way he was right. That was our mission. What else can an artist do in their lifetime but promote and foster connection? He too was an artist and artisan that sold goods out of his van to get by. We spoke the same language of love, of creativity. When he imparted me with the key to life, the Ankh. I promised him I would take it across egypt and into all of the temples we would visit. I fulfilled this promise and generated an abundance of energy into the crystal quartz Ankh. Opening doorways in the temples to honor the past and heal the present. Cleansing ourselves through catharsis and mystified allusions. It was fun to believe this held some sort of power, when in reality it was a key to nowhere and nothing. Our thoughts make it real, our imagination creates the meaning of some ancient ritual or prophecy to be reached. It is the purpose and symbolize we tell ourselves to enjoy ourselves. And that is what we did. Created joy through magic and story telling. We are there authors to our own epics and odysseys. What kind of mythology do you want to create? For me it is how do we connect ancient cultures across the globes. Understanding that we are all human and we are all so similar that the separation only exists through fear, and the open heartedness creates understanding and connection. From the grassy green gnolls of Ireland to the beige sandy limestone temples in egypt the magic is the thread that weaves these places and stories together. How one place inspires to visit the next. Again, with that purpose to fulfill some duty, a promise to a friend. In my case, for the Ankh to touch the hieroglyphs and absorb the energy imbued in the walls and characters. Planting this gold relic to the beige wall. Something clicks into place. Are we channeling spirits or god? Or, are we honoring the past and ancestors by tapping in to the words they were trying to communicate and preserve for future millennials? I don't know, no one does. But, that is the fun part. To dream and wonder. To travel and bring these places together. To tell our stories once we are done living them.
