Silent Echo

Silent Echo The whisper of an unscripted verse. A silent echo. This abstract poem explores the powerful ‘sound’ of silence and yearning for stillness in modern life. Busy schedules and modern life thrust demands on body and mind, seeking to force compliance within the external world in daily life. And so, mind and body are caught, sometimes ensnared, in a whirlwind of demands and expectations. An array of social, cultural, professional and economic constraints compete for our focus, means and time, whether imposed by a system, or, indeed, those we impress upon ourselves. In these ‘mechanics’ of daily life, life veers toward a mechanical existence, and, often, a disconnect from the soul within… As such, this work is an invitation to pause, step aside from the noise and demands, to rekindle a place of silence and hear the voice of the soul with all the wisdom, peace and healing it seeks to share. The abstract canvas paints a verse, the call of a silent echo as mind, body and soul lose sync and sight of life’s beauty. Tucked, like a hidden jewel, within of an empowering crevice of stillness, the silent echo whispers until mind, body and soul re-connect in stillness and harmony.
